GarageDays

Dark and Cold

Massacre Records
2011

This album starts off with a round-house kick to the teeth! A virtual wall of sound completely obliterating reality, Dark and Cold's production is evident from the very beginning notes of track one, Last Breath. GarageDays does an excellent job of bring the classic metal sound into the new millenium with This disc. Solid, steady drumming with driving bass lines, super chunky riffs, melodic yet bluesy solo's, and great, raspy vocals. Fans of bands like Gravedigger, Blind Guardian, and Hammersfall will LOVE GarageDays! Track three, Father, has some very nice acoustic guitar as well. GarageDays hail from Rattenberg, Austria and is comprised of Marco Kern on vocals and rhythm guitar, Dominik Eder on bass and backing vocals, Rene Auer on lead guitar, and Matthias Mai on drums. Track listing for Dark and Cold is:

1. Last Breath
2. Lord of Darkness
3. Father
4. Blow Away
5. Four
6. I'm Your Hate
7. Piece of Shit
8. Conscience
9. Black Bridges
10. Dark and Cold

Now friends, this is some fist-pumping, horns-throwing heavy fucking metal, but they also get very thrashy at times with some pit-inducing breakdown riffs! This is a great metal album, with excellent songwriting and structuring, very well produced, and will sound awesome at the highest of volumes. Go on, make your neighbors happy...I DARE YA!!
